Engineering with RPL Certification

Australia is in need of qualified engineers despite the fact that the experts believe that the growth in the manufacturing industry will slow down particularly in the machinist, welders, fabricators and metal works.  For the apprentice or for anyone who received an ample training but are not yet certified, RPL certification will allow you to be qualified and recognized in the profession of engineering.  There is a huge demand in the trade of engineering but competition is tough which highlights the need of the individuals to be qualified into a more stable type of employment.

Engineering- Fabrication

There has been an ongoing skills shortage in the industry of metal works.  One of the main reasons behind this problem is the lack of knowledge and qualification.  For instance, around 95% of people working in the metal work are considered not suitable for the job and less than 25% are the workers that are qualified for the job.  The process surrounding metal works are commonly computerized wherein most of the process occurred in the different parts of the factory.  Most importantly, you will need to be adept in operating different types of machinery designed to electroplate, polish, paint, weld, forge, bend, grind and cut.  RPL certifications in the industry of fabrication will provide you with the basic and advance skills and knowledge in the field of fabrication.

Engineering- Mechanical

For those who are planning to be a machinist or metal fitter, you will need to possess an extensive amount of knowledge in modification, installation, assembly, manufacture, design and repairs and functions of the mechanical tools, machine, equipment and CNC operation.  RPL Certifications in the field of Mechanical will provide you with the essential knowledge on engineering measurement.  This will not only certify your skills but also widen your job opportunities.

Engineering- Production Technology

For those who want to build their career in the field of production technology, a certification in RPL will improve your odds of landing an apprenticeship in plant mechanics, ship building, surface finishing and electroplating.    You will also enhance your knowledge on the wide range of engineering subjects such as on workshop machines, technical drawing, engineering measure, casting metals, thermal and mechanical cutting and others.  Lastly, you will also be educated on the fundamental aspects of work safety.

RPL certifications offer an alternative and convenient route to qualify in the various trades in Engineering.    It helps you to transform your training, work experience, knowledge and skills into a certified qualification without the prolonged study time.  Check the various qualification requirements of the certification program; if you have been working under the particular industry for extensive years or if you have already finished the major part of apprenticeship, there is a good chance that you are qualified for an RPL certification.
